I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted, I took a step back to give more energy to moving, nesting, and growing in my personal & professional development.

This page is not about me, it’s to help uplift other women but I think it’s important for you to know I’m still here & I’m an actual human😅

Since we haven’t talked in a while...Can i be real with you for a sec? I don’t know about you, but I am done perfecting my feed and pictures! Life’s too short to have a perfect feed. This concept has a word….& no it’s not magic😂...it’s called SELF EFFICACY & it’s the belief in YOUR own abilities to deal with various situations...🙌🏼

After learning how important self efficacy is I infused methods to build + strengthen it in my coaching programs...
•
Cookie cutter plans and programs may work for a super short time, but not long term AND restricting and punishing your body is not the way to go (can I get an amen on that?!)
•
There is nothing better than having confidence in yourself, but it goes deeper than that...
•
✅It’s the assurance that you are making the right choice for you and your health. It’s having the ability to see through your “mistakes” so that you get back on the horse again even MORE confident than before👏🏼

How amazing would that be for you & your life?

“Why does this keep happening to me?” Be honest, you’ve heard, said, or thought that before... (or something similar)

Let’s break it down- Having a vision and knowing what you DO and DO NOT want is very important in living a life you enjoy

But focusing too much on what you DO NOT want can lead you feeling stuck or in a pattern where you experience similar situations over and over again
•
Take what you do want as clarification to what you DO want. Shift your focus to what you do want....keep your eyes on the prize 🤩

It has been a while since I shared my healing/wellness journey here and because I believe that it can help other women, who may be spinning their wellness on a mission to “feel better” and reach their health goals, I am going to share some of it today.
Let’s just start out my saying...I was the queen of wheel spinning during my 4-5 year healing mission of “I want to feel better”
You know the struggle bus? Ya, I was basically the driver of that bad boy

Not something to brag about BUT I have felt my fair share of frustrations, overwhelm, and doubt surrounding my body and my health.
Funny because during this entire time, I was working in the fitness industry and externally I probably looked like a “fit” person so the automatic assumption = healthy.
That only led to more frustration, because underneath I felt like an 85 year old with fatigue and brain fog for days, yet I looked like I should be “normal”....
Over the YEARS through experience and growing my knowledge base….I learned this (which has helped me heal and grow as a person more than I could ever describe here in words)

Feel your feelings, but don’t let them define you.
You are not a weak person, just because you felt lazy today. And you didn’t wake up at the crack of dawn.

Listen to your body’s signals- the messages you get sent- but don’t let them define you.
You are not sick and stripped of your power just because you feel tired and frustrated.
YOU CAN GAIN SO MUCH FREEDOM AND PEACE BY SHIFTING YOUR PERSPECTIVE.
Sorry for the all CAPS, just really fired up on that.
There is so much more underlying the surface- just learn to get curious with it. Where is this coming from?? Where did I learn that this equals that? Is this something that is actually true for my SELF?
There is so much more I can say to this…

Your story is your story- don’t let a label, title, or diagnosis define who you truly are, because you really are SO much more than all that.

We will be focusing on the GOOD STUFF here, but first I’ll share that I have thrown some raging pity parties back in the day.
It can be easy to “fall back” into victim-like thinking, but life is MUCH brighter and beautiful when you choose to look through a different lense
There is a time and a place for addressing your “mistakes” or your “wrong doings” but dwelling on them, only focusing on the bad/negative, or letting them fester, is not productive for YOU or where you probably want to be in life.

Your mistakes are not YOU

Learn to Forgive yourself, let it go, then move forward. 🥳So let’s get to the real party… because where focus goes, energy flows

“Well I’ll be happy when....” You’ve heard it, you may have even said it. I’m calling you out (don’t worry you’re not alone, stay with me here)

First let’s paint a picture of the main point🎨
➡️Waiting for... let’s say a vacation... to feel good again is like only being happy or excited on Christmas morning, while the other 364 days are just “can’t wait for Christmas” “I’ll be happy when it’s Christmas Eve…”
🤦🏻‍♀️
Imagine being around THAT person 364 days of the year. You would “need” a vacation for sure….right?! 🏖

Seems pretty silly when you think about it that way, but reality is, most people are WAITING to feel good. Like some magic tinker-bell will appear and deem them WORTHY of their desires OR (like yesterday’s post) give them permission🧚🏻
🧞‍♀️ I NOW DEEM YOU WORTHY OF FEELING GOOD🧚🏼‍♀️ 🙅🏻‍♀️....sorry it doesn’t work that way

GOOD NEWS though... here’s what YOU can do instead of waiting (which only creates MORE waiting btw)

Support YOURSELF by creating feel good moments throughout the day💚 (that’s what I meant by advocate)

Intentionally create or prioritize small moments that infuse feeling good in your daily life like:
▪️Where my matcha lovers at? (coffee lovers this works for you to)...Mhmm that warm cuppa tea makes you feel fuzzy and warm inside
▪️Nature therapy: Spend 15 mins in the sunshine (if you can) & energize your body
▪️Animal lover? Seek Puppy kisses and kitty love (this is me 100%)
▪️Needing some spa time? Face masks and salt baths (got 5 mins? Face mask while you fold the laundry)
▪️The list goes on…. 📣The important thing is that you do what feels good to YOU, not what you think you “should” be doing because everyone else is doing it
•
Bonus tip: Infuse these moments with awareness and gratitude by noticing and appreciating how __________ (relaxed, calm, amazing, energized, etc.) you feel during and afterwards

Voilà! Your at home ‘staycation’ awaits 🏡

Okay I know it’s pretty cheesy😂, but it works and you get the point....

Some of us are so used to waiting for others to give us permission to live our lives... so we pretty much end up living our lives for other people or based on other people’s “rules”

Time to stop that jazz and give yourself the permission!
And this is a great way to start. Just start...sometimes that is all it takes to get the ball rolling towards feeling good
•
One step is farther than zero, so carve out 1, 5, 10, 60 mins for yourself. Do what you can with the time and the resources that you have!

But if you start, with practice, you will learn to appreciate what is important in life so much more by facing and seeing what you don’t want first

These thoughts, ideas, beliefs, & feelings that come up are not YOU- they may be apart of you- but only you can define that

Major fact: You do not need to hold onto anything that limits you or keeps you playing small. What ever label you or anyone else placed onto you, even innocently in intent at first, does not have to be your truth NOW

It may have served a purpose at one point in your life, but it is not YOU

When I asked a group of women this question- in terms of them creating their ultimate wellness reality (no limits)- I felt their energy shift with so much inspiration and passion✨
➡️Awareness + leading with curiosity is KEY. Embrace it, it can lead to new ideas//shifts that can change your entire life(kind of like the question on my mirror😜)
➡️YOU get to define what failure means- you can choose to see it as the big bad wolf- or maybe you choose to see it as a tool for growth

If you are like me, you’ve tried keeping a morning routine before…

But life kept “getting in the way” with things popping up all over the place

Next thing you knew, your morning routine went down the drain…

So you told yourself you’ll try again tomorrow OR that it will be your next New Year’s Goal….NEW YEAR NEW ME, am I right?

But, here we are, and the morning routine is no where to be seen

Maybe you have one…but it looks a little something like brush teeth, throw on outfit, drink coffee on the go, go go go go go…. then you go to bed and do it all over again

It is no wonder you are overwhelmed, exhausted, and stressed. YOU GOT TO GIVE YOURSELF SOME LOVE.
Oh & there is no rule book that says you have to wait for New Years to start again.

HERE’S A START➡️Become aware of your thoughts AND your language. Awareness is key

Be kind with yourself and if a tough thought appears- that’s okay and it’s normal! Write it down, get it out on paper & get curious with it
🧐There is no rule book that says this thought MUST hold true for you ALWAYS & FOREVER
