This probably isn’t the first time you’ve heard this, but you may have forgotten: if you want to have, be, or do something different, you have to do something different.
Right now it’s June, half way through 2020.
It’s been an extremely trying year for the entire world, there is no denying that.
My heart goes out to you if you are needing love, support, or hope at this time. My mission is to uplift women across the world so that they can be the best versions of themselves. I promise to continue to do that here.

Let’s talk about new year’s resolutions.
The HUGE expectation that is placed on your shoulders to hit the new year running and be PERFECT because you are blessed with a fresh start. The expectation you have is often overloaded with massive amount of guilt and shame when anything “comes up” as it ALWAYS will because this is life.
Here’s another thing:
Just creating a new year’s resolution to say you created one is like saying you will go on a date with someone but you just end up ghosting them. YOU HAVE TO SHOW UP.
Instead of feeling guilty or just putting it off until next new years, here are some questions to ask yourself and journal on to get the ball rolling again. Let’s Create that momentum!
You can start today. I know it is possible and I believe it is possible for you too.
Get a mental picture, create your vision:
Do I have an overall vision of what I want my life to look like in 3 years FROM NOW? 5 years? 10 years?
- If you do not: Spend 5-10 minutes journaling on each
- If you do: Spend 5-10 minutes reflecting on your vision and getting even clearer
Now that you have a vision, let’s break it down into smaller pieces:
- In the next 12 months (1 year):
- I want to be:
- I want to feel:
- I want to do:
- I want to have:
- I want to be:
It’s important to know the purpose of each item on your list:
- Looking at what you just wrote down, answer: What do all these things mean to me? Why are they important for me to call into my life and live for the next year? What is their purpose?
- What habits or practices will help me in achieving these goals?
This breaks down your overall vision into bite size chunks where we can connect one day at a time- and set goals to embody what you are calling in…
These are not set in stone, but it’s important to have an idea of where you want to go. You need to have a target to move towards or else you’ll be bouncing all around trying everything and feeling lost!
