Hellooooo Beautiful!
Dropping some #betterbeauty knowledge here and I hope it resonates with you in some way ♡
❀ It is time to say bye-bye to compromising beauty for safety (or vice versa)!
❀ P.S. In case you didn’t know…. The beauty industry is virtually unregulated in the U.S.. A major federal law regulating the cosmetics industry has not been passed since 1938…..
❀ Not to continue on Debbie Downer style, but it is important you know the reality of this situation. The U.S. is DANGEROUSLY behind other countries when it comes to cosmetic safety. The European Union has banned close to 1,400 chemicals in product formulations of personal care products and restricted levels of over 250 more. The U.S. has ONLY partially banned 30.
❀ Learning this was a big reason why I joined as a Beautycounter consultant. Beautycounter products are not only made with safer ingredients, they are made to perform.
❀ Beautycounter prohibits the use of 1,800+ questionable or harmful ingredients when formulating products. Thanks to their 5 Step Ingredient Selection process that they are very transparent about, harmful ingredients are banned, and others are screened, researched, sourced responsibility AND shared transparently. Like I said before, ingredients in Beautycounter products are formulated to perform without compromising your health.
Why take a health-risk gamble in such an unregulated market?
❀For me personally, after learning all this, the risk of developing serious health problems was not worth it. I stopped using and supporting (with my money) brands/companies that were not transparent with ingredients. You better believe I researched the heck out of the brands I was using and was sickened to learn that I had been exposing my body to harmful ingredients for YEARS. So I switched to Beautycounter and my only regret is not doing it sooner.
